Pajamas x2

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a mommy and me pajama set.  I know that I have shared my shorts before but when my daughter say them she just has to have a pair too :)  And what are matching shorts without matching tops??  My daughter is in this phase where she wants all of her clothes to match mine (so cute!!).

Both sets are made using Rifle Paper Co for Cotton + Steel cotton lawn.  I've had this stashed away for a while now and I figured I better start using it up before flamingoes are out of style.  My shorts are the Closet Case patterns Carolyn pajama set.  My daughter's shorts are the free City Gym short pattern from Purl Soho.  I used pre-made bias to save on time.

Our tops are the Ogden cami and the mini Ogden cami by True Bias.  For the half lining I used a cream colored lawn that I had in my stash.  You can see it a bit through the flamingo print but since they are for pjs I was ok with it.  We definitely have more of the Ogden camis in our future.  I can't wait to sew one up in a lovely rayon or silk.

Thanks for stopping by!

Burnside Bibs

Hi there and happy October!  This post has been a long time coming.  We had a crazy couple of weeks around here with a case of the croup, a bully at school, broken lawn mower and broken toilet ugh!  Most of that is behind us now thankfully :)  Anyway I am so excited to share this pair of Burnisde Bibs with you.  The pattern is from Sewhouse Seven.

I opted to sew up version1 which it more fitted and includes an invisible zipper.  I made a straight size 2 with no alterations or modifications aside for some extra top stitching.  I used a 100% linen fabric that I found at my local Joann store.

These came together much quicker than I was expecting (which is good because my mom has already requested a pair).  I'm thinking of a full length in a rust color for me for fall and winter too.

I really love all of the details of these bibs!  All of the belt loops in the back and how the straps become the ties.  You can choose to tie in the from or the back.

This is such a great pattern and so on trend right now.  The instructions are clear and well written.  I'm excited to try more Sewhouse Seven patterns in the future.
