Kids Clothes Week Day 1 (and 2) - Fawn Lily Tunic and a giveaway!!

So I started off KCW with big plans.  So far I have just gotten this Fawn Lily Tunic done for my girl. The pattern is by Willow and Co. and you can get it here.  It's really a great pattern.  I anticipated it being more difficult than it was.  I mostly finished this on day 1.  Day 2 of KCW was kind of a wash, my husband was off of work for the first time in 9 days so we were outside mostly with our daughter in the kiddie pool.  I did print off some more patterns and will spend today taping and tracing and cutting.

I used Tula Pink's retro star print from Fox Field for the main fabric.  The contrast is a peppered cotton in raspberry.

My unenthusiastic model was actually really excited about this top.  She saw it unfinished after a nap and said, "finish it momma, I need to wear it."

One other quick thing, my etsy shop is doing a giveaway!! Go to our Facebook page and check it out!!

Thanks so much! Happy sewing!!

Juba Shorts

So I few weeks ago I got the privilege of testing out a new pattern by Rachael Gander of Imagine Gnats.  The pattern is the Juba Shorts.  They are a comfy lounge short.  Please excuse the awkward photos and my tiny photo bomber.

They are a really quick sew.  I used a couple of Juliana Horner prints from Joann.  I must confess I don't limit these to just lounging. I've worn them out several times.  In these photos I have them paired with the Plantain Tee, also a really quick sew (and free).  The next time I make the tee I will raise the neck line just a bit.  Nothing wrong with the pattern just my own personal preference.

My husband is excited for me to make him some of the men's version for him.  He may have to wait a bit as I've overextended my self a little with joining swaps and starting up the etsy shop.

Hop you all have a great day!! Go check out the pattern too!!
